Vapour Regulator - wind insulation
Vapour Regulator is a material that limits the flow of water vapour and blocks the airflow, retaining water at the same time. It is intended for use in building partitions such as roofs, ceilings and walls. Thanks to its low vapour permeability (Sd = 2m), it functions equally well as an airtight layer in frame walls (as a wind barrier) as well as a layer protecting the thermal insulation and the structure of sloped roofs in which highly vapour-permeable membranes are installed against overflow of water vapour (a type of vapour barrier). Vapour Regulator can also be used as a low-vapour-permeable pre-covering foil under roofing laid on battens.
Each roll of Vapour Regulator is equipped with self-adhesive tape placed in the overlap zone to facilitate connecting following layers of the product. The tightness of the layer created by Vapour Regulator in building partitions is very important for the energy efficiency of entire buildings. This results from our experience and experiments, which prove that a lot of heat escapes through draughty roofs and walls. Uncontrolled air flows additionally moisten these partitions.
It is worth noting that by using Vapour Regulator we can achieve full air tightness when it is also stuck together with walls, chimneys, floors and other elements of the building.
