Laminates are used for wrapping different types of food and chemicals. Packages for these products have to fulfill the following requirements:

• high barrier properties which ensure long lasting freshness and aroma of packed products;
• protection from dampness;
• efficient sealing of the package even in difficult packing conditions (e.g. presence of grease or dust);
• high packaging aesthetics together with overprint protection from mechanical damages (e.g. abrasion) and from negative influence of environment (e.g. UV radiation).
