Vapour-insulation film MSL 98 is a film of exceptional endurance. For this reason it is applied in all places, where it is vital to keep thermal insulation in a proper distance from the finishing boards (sheetrock, panelling). It is of a crucial meaning in roofs and stud walls, in which loosely applied thermal insulation stretches regular vapour-insulation films during a long-term application. That is why, there appear bulges and cavities which enlarge heat losses. Keeping thermal insulation in the same place for a long period of time demands a vapour-insulation of a good endurance, as they are in a permanent contact and vapour-insulation serves as a support for thermal insulation. In a longer period of time, light thermal insulation dislocates and slips down, due to the fact that the constructions of walls and roofs suffer from various vibrations and tensions, as a result of wind activity. Another reason for applying strong vapour-insulation film MSL 98 is its exceptional tearing resistance, which is a result of applying strong polypropylene fabric as one of the layers.
MSL type film fulfills the requirements of the European norm EN 13984 and is marked with the CE symbol
